Who I am.
Welcome! I'm Jason, a Minnesota native who found a true passion for astrophotography amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Australia. After dedicating 27 years to the US Marine Corps, I found solace and inspiration in astrophotography. The night sky became my canvas, and I have found immense joy in capturing its beauty. I am humbled to have been recognized as the winner of the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year in the Astrophotography category for two consecutive years in 2022 & 2023.
With 6 years of experience in astrophotography and editing night images, a bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Photography Studies College, as well as over 20 years of teaching experience in the military, I am well-equipped to guide others in capturing their own stunning night sky images. Join me on an incredible journey where we'll learn together, create lasting memories, and capture stunning night sky images.
